Into the Lecherous Light by Kris P. Kreme

In a part of the world none of them have been to before, Steven Decker finds himself a man without a wife, with two eighteen year old foster kids, looking for where he belongs.

But becoming lighthouse keeper at a beautiful but very remote lighthouse on the Atlantic coast of Ireland may take him to a place within himself he never imagined, and may take foster kids Derek and Samantha Into the Lecherous Light.

When the light keeps stopping for a short time each night, facing the inland forest, a figure is seen dancing within the light. But when Derek and Samantha find themselves inside that frozen light, Lenny the Leprechaun shines his special kind of light on all their troubles.

Steven Decker has gone through rough years in a life where things rarely turned out the way he expected or would have ever wanted. But as he and the two kids in the backseat bump along the winding gravel road in the middle of nowhere, in a country far from home, he could never imagine that everything he wants is just days away… even if he doesn’t know he wants it yet.

It was Steven Decker’s wife who couldn’t have kids and so they decided to become foster parents, but when she ran off and left him, Steven was left to raise the two older adopted kids, Samantha and Derek, eighteen and abandoned by more than just the system. While Samantha always has had as positive and beautiful an attitude and spirit as her vibrant red hair, Derek is more the typical disgruntled teen, and definitely most disgruntled by the lonely new job in the middle of nowhere Steven carries him along for.

Hired as a lighthouse keeper at a remote scenic lighthouse half a day from the closest town on the Atlantic coast of Ireland, Steven needs this time to himself, with his kids, to try and figure out his next steps, where he needs to be. He’s looking forward to spending time so close to nature, rolling hills leading to surrounding dense wilderness on one side, the cliffs and crashing waves beneath on the other. But after Cohen O’hara, the man who owns the lighthouse and will be checking in once a week on the new local family leaves, a mystery begins to unfold that may just take Steven Decker and the kids from the very darkest regrets Into the Lecherous Light.

On the first night there, still adjusting to the responsibilities and isolation of being at such a grand lighthouse on the Irish coast, the light suddenly stops rotating, aimed not at the sea but inland towards the edge of the wilderness.

No matter what logical reasons there are for such a thing to happen, Steven can’t scramble and figure it out before five minutes later, the light resumes rotating.

It happens each and every night, in the darkest part of night, and when Steven thinks he sees a mysterious small figure standing right within that light at the edge of the forest, it starts to become an obsession. He has to keep the light going steady; it’s his job. But nothing adds up checking mechanics, equipment, the bulb, everything seems to be working as it should. Yet every night at the same time, the light stops facing the same direction, and a little figure can be seen dancing about.

The Irish countryside is full of stories and legends, but could this actually be something else entirely? While Steven remains determined each night when it happens to find a logical reason for it, the kids are still adjusting to having very little to do. So it isn’t a big surprise the night Derek takes off, wanting to go for a walk, anything to escape the monotony of the cramped lighthouse home.

But when Samantha follows to try and keep him from wandering too far, they both find themselves within that light near the edge of the forest… facing none other than Lenny the Lecherous Leprechaun himself.

But what is the infamous leprechaun up to now? What magic is taking place within that frozen light each night, and will it corrupt the innocence right out of Derek and Samantha, leading only to Steven finding out just what his new job entails… and how much there can be to do when a lonely man far from home along with bored foster son Derek realize the solution to all problems lies within the seductively sexy Samantha?

Halloween with the Kreme sees the return of a lecherous legend, with new twisted means of feeding the corruption he craves back in his corner of the world.
