Over 14,000 Words of Kreme!
Asian family man Liu is a traditional man, looking forward to a traditional real family Thanksgiving for the first time in a long time. And so he’s repainting the entry to their southern California mansion, having always preferred to do work around the house himself. But more than just his wife Hana’s sister and her family may be cumming for the holiday.
Shortly after his wife Hana comes into the entry where Liu is painting, sharing wonderful news their teenage daughter Jasmine has received. Having always put studies before everything, it’s not as much a surprise that Jasmine has a chance for an exclusive fellowship with a world-renowned professor of behavioral anthropology. And upon hearing that news, Liu couldn’t be more thrilled.
Jasmine has always made exceptionally smart responsible decisions, even her boyfriend James being a nice upstanding and thankfully quiet boy most of the time. But mere moments after Hana and the kids leave Liu to his work, someone is hammering on the front door of his gated mansion, leaving Liu to wonder who it could be. When Hana returns, the two assume it has to be their neighbors, no one else likely to show up at the door unannounced.
Neither of them have seen Sanjay or Lakshmi all week, figuring they had family coming in for the Thanksgiving holiday as well, but when Liu finally opens the door, it’s a hulking blonde muscular stranger neither of them have ever seen before.
Walking in with a friendly grin, introducing himself as the handyman from next door, the man offers to finish the job, even claims he can repaint the whole place, bragging about his spatter technique. When James and Jasmine come to see the unexpected guest they hear, asking who it is, the man simply says everyone calls him ‘the dude’ and again gives his sales pitch for doing work around their house before Thanksgiving.
Liu always likes to do things himself, or does he, because when the dude bets him he just was putting up a front, preferring to spend time with family, Liu has a difficult time understanding why that’s just how he suddenly feels. And when the dude bets they’d just love to see what he can do to the place, suggesting they go out shopping and have a nice time… that’s just what Liu and Hana are planning to do.
But someone needs to stay at the mansion, keep an eye on this stranger no matter how oddly charming he seems. Since Jasmine needs to fill out forms for her fellowship, she’s the obvious choice, although considering the dude suggests she stay, Jasmine isn’t so sure.
But when hours later, Liu and Hana return, finding the walls truly spattered with not paint but something much more disturbing, can anything shock them more than what has somehow become of Jasmine?
Speaking in stereotyped broken english, Jasmine is looking and behaving like the dude’s personal whore, but when her mother loses her temper, she soon may lose more than that as the dude chuckles and makes some bets about her anger turning her into someone just like her daughter.
The following day, Kai, Susu, their daughter Liena, and her fiancée Ed show up at the door, expecting to be greeted by family… and not the muscular surfer dude who claims he’s the handyman.
Claiming that Liu, Hana, Jasmine, and James are out for the day, the dude offers to show them around, let them see some of the work he’s done, and his tour is going to be one you can just bet none of them will ever forget.
The dude is back and he’s changing more than minds and bodies this time, but it’s an easy bet that Thanksgiving is going to bring families together and everyone will enjoy the stuffing.
