Ivy has had it with the men her mother dates inevitably being perverted and either putting moves or playing around as they turn their eyes to her. It’s bad enough her mother keeps getting betrayed, but she is starting to feel like the poison her mother once drunkenly called her.
Storming off into the wilderness behind their rural home, she can only cool off by walking aimlessly. But when she avoids some hikers and finds herself on a notoriously dangerous supernatural path, Ivy gets tangled in some literal ivy that may have a poison all its own.
Just what will she become, and is anyone same from the perverse depravity this young seductress may soon be infecting all of them with?
Ever since Ivy began to mature, she has dealt with more creeps than a girl should ever have to deal with. But after storming off into the woods behind the rural home she shares with her mother, Ivy may come upon something creeping that truly puts the poison in Poison Ivy.
Ted is just the latest of her mother’s boyfriends to turn an eye towards Ivy. She’s just barely eighteen now which makes her legal and since she has dealt with men making moves, comments, and more on her for several years, she knows there is no way Ted would be the last.
A good girl who wants to be good, Ivy can’t help how she looks, can’t help that she matured into quite the stunning and admittedly a bit top-heavy teenage girl, but she can help giving those creeps a piece of her mind and telling her mother everything they’ve tried to be charming or subtle about saying or doing.
It might be a simple smile, a light touch on her shoulder, but Ivy has learned exactly what to expect, which has unfortunately led to far too much time off on her own dealing with the consequences of simply being herself. Once even, her mother while drunk called Ivy poison, said she was “poison to every relationship.”
While the outburst was obviously not intended to hurt as her mother didn’t even know what she was saying, Ivy can’t help but feel that way, especially storming out of her home after Ted seemed to finally show his true colors. He might be chasing after, claiming he was kidding around, but Ivy knows the type of men her mother seems to date. And even more unfortunate for her this time, she stormed out across the backyard without even taking the time to put on her shoes.
So it isn’t a cathartic run through the wooded forest at the base of Mount Madness, Ivy finds herself on. It isn’t even a hike, but more a meandering escape, time to think, time to come to terms with the real possibility that every man is just a creep, a pervert, and she’ll never see proof otherwise.
After an hour of wandering, Ivy knows her mother must have returned, wondering what excuse Ted made up to explain her daughter’s departure while she was picking up their lunch. Letting out a nice cathartic scream, Ivy never had any idea hikers might be within earshot, and those hikers never could imagine that their startling her by calling out in response would set in motion events that will forever change all of their lives.
Blushing and running off in a random direction down any reasonably cleared path she could find, Ivy avoids David, Sam, and Kyle, along with new member of their weekend hiking group, Kyle’s girlfriend from work, Kelly.
Kelly is certainly pretty herself, a woman who has grown used to men being drooling idiots, but unlike Ivy she can enjoy the teases and manage to fend off the idiots, though her boyfriend Kyle can still certainly push his luck being one now and then.
The shouting girl running off though does bring up conversation that even Kelly might be unable to manage, the urban legend about strange goings-on in the area of Mount Madness, particularly the legend of the old native path presumably still somewhere near a long abandoned access road.
But while Kelly deals with pervy guys and her boyfriend sneaking peeks at the cleavage pulled more and more by her adjusting her hiking pack, barefooted Ivy has found herself on a path she never saw before… with a misstep somehow catching her foot in some twisted green ivy of the more literal kind.
Yet when that ivy can’t be untangled and instead seems to grow at a rate she knows shouldn’t be possible, what might become of an innocent busty girl who never wanted to be anything but herself? Consumed by the ivy, feeling it slither and crawl over her, it’s soon working its way into her mouth, cutting off her screams.
Just who and what will Ivy be upon opening her eyes… and what will be this new Ivy’s most perverse motives be? What will she have in store for those hikers she avoided? What will be her intentions for Ted once she gets back home?
The Path returns and spawns the creation of an all new seductress who always turned heads but now may turn love into lust, desire into depravity, and every man she touches on like no other woman can… a lusty girl who may very well live up to the name Poison Ivy.
