It’s Lillian’s first day on the job at a Trance-tory office building, and while the modern styling and architecture may be truly relaxing and comfortable, the way men look at her and other women is downright disturbing.
Even Jessie who has been there a month already admits, it takes time to get used to. But Lillian, a pretty and confident Asian, intends to change things, improve things, to take the bad reputation Trance-tory has and flip it upside down for the better.
After sitting through the mandatory Trance-tory Training video on her new company laptop though, Lillian may have very different ideas in mind, and easier ways of getting to know the men she’ll be working with.
Hot Shots offers on-the-job training, even if the job one beautiful Asian woman thought she was getting isn’t exactly the one she is trained to handle.
Lillian is admittedly impressed with the modern office she will soon be finding her place in. From the thick greenery breaking up the open and airy space with desks and towering windows, there’s definitely no complaints about the work environment. Coworkers thought, that’s still somewhat questionable, especially the men. But working for a company with a reputation like Trance-tory, Lillian expected as much.
Meeting Jessie, a beautiful redhead and fellow employee, Lillian is encouraged by the fact Jessie seems to handle herself well with obviously misogynist male employees. After all, Lillian has already heard a couple of men joking about there being Asian on the menu today, referring to the simple fact Lillian happens to be Asian.
But she is a bit discouraged to see Jessie putting up with such comments and even a slap on her ass as the men walk away. She’s even more shocked to hear that apparently, Nick, the one doing the slapping has been the employee of the month for six months running. And while Ian, the one managing new employees, isn’t much better, Nick supposedly is some prize-winning stud of an office guy, a guy Jessie admits really rides everyone pretty hard around the building.
Yet problems like these are the reasons Lillian took the job in the first place. She intends to push past the troublesome reputation Trance-tory has and improve things from within, to show that a woman can change things for the better from within, no matter what she has to put up with. She’s only hoping the training video Ian sets her up with on the new company laptop she is given will make her first day go a little more smoothly.
From the comfort of a new office chair, Lillian soon finds herself watching the standard company training video, a video featuring none other than the CEO himself, Victor Hawthorne, speaking and narrating from the lavish comforts of Trance-tory’s private island world headquarters.
But as Victor speaks and seems to repeatedly use certain words like relax and calm, is Lillian being trained for a job or perhaps something less noble and work-oriented? As the scenery changes and all the advancements and opportunities of Trance-tory spill across her laptop screen, is Lillian slowly succumbing to exactly what all employees like her succumb to… just as Jessie did a month before, Jessie who may be helping the boys in the copy room out more than Lillian ever suspected?
Every new job requires training, and Trance-tory is no exception. The only question is, what are the employees trained to enjoy most about their work… and will that work be a real pleasure?
Coming next… Summer gets Hot…
