Sometimes your other side is Hot

Slice of Life by Kris P. Kreme

Slice of Life by Kris P. Kreme

Summer is an innocent sweet girl just beginning prep school at eighteen, enriching her mind by studying in her kitchen at home.

In other rooms, her brother enjoys a passion for video games with best friend Dylan, a boy Summer likes. And her father photographs his antiquities, passionately talking on the phone with a friend about the ancient sword he acquired.

But Summer yearns for her own passion, to rise above innocence, inexperience, and little girl. So after the package arrives containing a reportedly storied ancient Japanese sword, Summer takes it out just to hold… and somehow slices her personality into good and wicked halves, each battling to forever control her body.

Summer is nearly at an end… and the same might be said for the sweet innocent girl in our final Hot Shots tale! When Summer seeks a momentary adventure by handling her father’s antique Japanese sword, she discovers the fate awaiting all innocence from the Slice of Life.

Summer has recently begun a term at her new prep school and while she has always enjoyed enriching her mind through studying, this sweet innocent soul may soon be corrupting her body thanks to a sinfully sharp blade on one of her father’s new collection items.

As she studies in the kitchen one sweltering August day, Summer is cheery and happy as she always is. Her older brother Jordan is down the hall in his room playing video games. Her father Josh is snapping away pictures of the antiquities he collects. And life seems as good as ever.

But after Jordan’s best friend and her prospective new boyfriend Dylan arrives, it results in Jordan talking her down and while not intentionally, making her feel bad. Everyone always sees Summer as the goody goody girl, sweet, inexperienced, absolutely innocent. And while she wants to be cheery about everything, even who she is, Summer knows she wishes people could feel different. She wishes she had a little adventure too, like her brother and friend playing fun games together, like her father and his passion for collecting obscure antiquities.

When her father comes into the kitchen to get one of the sandwiches she made and wrapped for him earlier, she overhears him talking excitedly to a friend about some new acquisition he is waiting on, an addition for his collection, some ancient Japanese sword known as the Slice of Life.

What Summer could never imagine is that when she gets another opportunity for a break, a knock at the door, she will will soon find herself suffering the fate all innocence suffers upon wielding the Slice of Life.

Josh has been seeking out the sword for a long time and gone to plenty of expense to find it, but he’s ignoring the concerns his fellow antiquities dealer has on the phone. Rumors that the blade of this sword, whose name into English translates as Slice of Life, is so sharp it can cut right through innocent souls sounds silly. Besides he points out, it has been a long time since he was anything one might call innocent or pious.

But in the kitchen, Summer has found a tear in the box that arrived, opening enough to reach in and pull out the wrapped Slice of Life sword. She wants to be looked at differently, not the little girl she no longer is, not the innocent virginal soul. And unwrapping the sword to hold and look at seems as innocent an idea as all her ideas are.

Only this innocent idea may come with a price Summer never would have chosen to pay, her personality sliced clean in two as unknown to her, those personalities go to battle.

In moments where innocent Summer is unaware, her dirty sordid slutty side emerges, a girl proud of her tight young body, wanting to defile it, walking right into the room where her brother plays video games with Dylan and openly flirting with Dylan like never before.

Saying things no good girl ever would say, she is soon leaving both Dylan and Jordan speechless and shocked… only to feel a wave of cooling air spinning her mind back as innocent Summer awakens confused why they are so distressed.

As she heads back into the kitchen, where she thought she had been studying her textbook, will Summer’s randomly flipping personalities truly break her down, or can innocence overcome wicked when neither knows the other exists?

It’s just another hot day in late summer, and a heated battle is waging within Summer. You might call it good versus evil, virtuous versus corrupt, or this all just might be another Slice of Life.
