Be careful about phone calls at HallowKreme

The Wrong Number by Kris P. Kreme

The Wrong Number by Kris P. Kreme

It’s a dark rainy night in a big spooky old home in the middle of nowhere, and the babysitter is all alone. The phone rings and she answers it, only to hear a sinister man claiming he will attack her and enjoy her body.

But for Cammie this is just a wrong number dial, the surprisingly friendly man on the other end intending to call some woman named Daphne who enjoys joke calls like that on Halloween.

Yet as this man, a doctor, keeps the wrong number chat going, and Cammie out of boredom and enjoying the anonymity of the phone makes her own increasingly crude jokes… how far will this call push sweet innocent Cammie out of her mind, and eventually her clothes?

On a dreary rainy October night, Cammie is babysitting for a couple she frequently does… and it’s about as exciting a night as it ever is, which is to say boring. That’s before Cammie gets an incoming call and answers it only to find some strange man’s voice on the other end saying he’s going to tear her clothes off and have some fun.

It’s obviously a wrong number, as the man thought he was calling someone named Daphne, but for virginal good girl Cammie, it’s still quite shocking, a very intensely aggressive way to respond right after a girl says hello.

As it turns out, the caller claims to be a doctor, who has treated this woman named Daphne psychologically for recurring rape fantasies… so every year on Halloween, Doc makes a call to Daphne and when she says hello, that is how he responds… an inside joke.

But since Cammie has picked up and seems willing to chat, her night remarkably boring, the babies both out for hours now, Doc is more than happy to discuss why Cammie, unlike most her age, is not out partying or getting into suitable Halloween trouble.

As it turns out, Cammie is always the responsible one, too mature to use the night as some immature excuse to dress slutty and drink or party. She even jokes that there are probably slutty girls in her school who earn more than she does babysitting for actually being slutty.

So as Doc keeps the conversation fresh, chatting up this wrong number call he placed, he finds out that Cammie is a gifted conversationalist, funny, teasing, sharp-witted, and easygoing enough to not only take the babysitter trope jokes about horror and horny fun, but also imagine a few scenarios of her own.

But is Doc merely laying on the chat to change Cammie’s mind about who she really is, what sort of good comes from being a good girl, and how she can make more money at babysitting?

Once she starts imagining all the things they talk about, thanks to the anonymity of the wrong number call, things may just be turning very wrong in Cammie’s sweet little virginal head.

The only question is, how far can a wrong number call push a girl; what can it make her decide to do once the parents of the babies she is sitting with finally return home?

Find out as HallowKreme turns Konversational, an all-dialogue tale of Halloween whoring.
