Betty Juice by Kris P. Kreme

Betty Juice by Kris P. Kreme

When Mallory discovered the old book in the town library pointing to a hidden treasure in the storied old Burton Mansion, she suckered the biggest goofballs she knows, Brennan and John, into going along with her to find that treasure on Halloween.

But everyone in town and further, thanks to popular movies, knows something of the legends about Burton Mansion. They talk of a ghostly ghoul trapped in the place, and on Halloween she can be summoned by saying her name three times.

When Betty Juice turns out to be real, even if Mallory thinks her just a girl in costume, does she have evilly selfish intentions for going along on their little treasure hunt?

As the three emerge from the woods near the old covered bridge, Brennan finally has to just ask the question he knows his buddy John has probably been thinking… why are they anywhere near the old Burton Mansion on Halloween?

For decades in the small quaint local town, everyone has heard the rumors about the old Burton Mansion. Actually, everyone well beyond the town knows at least part of the story, a popular series of movies made about a fictionalized ghost with the most that haunts the old place, trapped for all eternity, battling sandworms and more.

But the movies didn’t get everything quite right, even though there are elements of truth. No one ever goes to Burton Mansion on Halloween though, unless they are looking to summon a ghoulish girl named Betty Juice.

Brennan and John have been led to the place by the prettiest girl in school who always saw them more as big goofy brother-figures, protectors of her safety, and that may be the only reason Mallory brought the two along. As she explains to the lovable superstitious goofballs, she discovered an old book in the town library, one that told of a treasure hidden somewhere within the long-abandoned Burton Mansion… and the clues leading to that treasure can only be followed on Halloween.

Mallory has always been the most domineering, severe girl ever, a take charge, determined girl nobody messes with, especially not Brennan and John, who are soon reluctantly accompanying her into Burton Mansion, intent on finding this supposed old treasure that Mallory claims will be the biggest score ever.

But after speaking Betty Juice’s name accidentally three times, the boys discover the legends are true, a pasty-faced but busty gorgeous ghost girl appearing, someone Mallory just dismisses as another girl sneaking into Burton Mansion for Halloween amusement.

But while Mallory may be blinded by her treasure hunt, annoyed at thinking she now has to split it four ways, Betty Juice is hiding her own otherworldly intentions, a way to finally escape the mansion that has been her prison for eternity.

Will the three local teens find their treasure? Will Betty Juice use their minds and bodies to complete a ritual freeing her forever? And will all of them discover there are many ways of defining the biggest score on Halloween, some much more enjoyable than others?

Say her name three times and she appears, but this ghoul ain’t no fool, and she may just use her playfully twisted skills to get everything she wanted and more, at a cost visitors may be willing or unwilling to pay.

HallowKreme continues with just three repetitions… Betty Juice, Betty Juice, Betty Juice!
